HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

Health, Safety, and a commitment to protect the Environment is a primary core value of RJMI. We are proud to provide services to our clients while minimizing the risk to the health and safety of our employees and contractors at our worksites. RJMI provides our employees the training, expertise, and support to ensure each work day is a healthy and safe one. This approach is also applied to the communities we collaborate with, and to environments we work in, to reduce impact and promote growth. We commit to upholding the highest standards of health and safety on all of our job sites.

RJMI’s Health, Safety, & Environmental Policy is developed to manage our operations and provide services in such a way that minimizes risk to the health and safety of its employees, and others for whom RJMI is responsible, as well as the risk of harm to the environment and wildlife.

RJMI not only complies with all health, safety and environmental regulations, but also acts proactively to prevent injury, illness, and property damage arising from our operations, and to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our employees.

RJMI follows the direction of the Internal Responsibility System (IRS) within Nova Scotia which says that all employers, workers, contractors, and self-employed persons share a direct responsibility for health and safety as an essential part of their work. In acordance with both Nova Scotia's Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and the Workplace Health & Safety Regulations, this responsibility-sharing is based on the level of authority and accountability that different people in the workplace have.
